Both of us were discharged on 22nd and asked to continue home quarantine with the medications prescribed. My fever continued for 3 days after discharge along with back pain. My wife was alright.
I am symptoms free for the past 3 days.
However I have an issue with raised D-Dimer levels in my blood.
I have given the blood for test and am due for a review meet with the doctor at MGM hospital later today.
I was wanting to update you on this, but was waiting for the D-Dimer issue to be resolved.
Our sincere thanks to you for taking personal interest in our case and letting us have a totally hassle free admission and discharge.
I sincerely hope that many more veterans who have not joined SSS as yet, realise very soon what they are missing.
Thank you once again.
I am very happy to share that Raksha and KM Dastur customer service persons were extremely helpful and curteous in helping out with a 4 days hospitalisation of my mother in law. The whole process of Pre approval and Approval of final bill was done in stipulated time and very professionally.I congratulate the SSS team for doing a great job in selecting KMD and Raksha . Salute you guys and keep up the good work . Cheers and Jai Hind
I fully endorse what Cdr Sudhir Dua says. A Plan B has to be in place in case one faces difficulty in getting treatment through the ECHS Channel - which should be the primary solution to any health problem of ESM. But if it is not available without any further delay Plan B should be executed which is the Mediclaim insurance that SSS is offering to all ESMs. I thank Sudhir Dua and the SSS team for their untiring efforts ,since the idea of having such a group policy came to mind in May last year after Cmde M incidence, that the scheme came into existence and is ticking and many veterans have already used it without any problems.
Ref our tele conversation of date. My brother in law (elder sister husband), late Brig SS Nakai was denied admission in a private Hospital saying that no bed was available and we were asked to take him to some other hospital when he had an heart attack during September 2020. He died in the emergency room of the hospital only though the staff present tried to revive him. It is generally seen that good private Hospitals of Chandigarh and Mohali refuse admission during emergency when they see the ECHS card because of low rates offered by ECHS. Few years back Lt col Jain had a similar experience when his wife had a asthma attack. There are numerous such like cases.
SSS policy has given me huge ray of hope & confidence not just for me but my brother too (Sponsored policy holder).. both of us singletons
SSS team . Not just the mechanics of issuing a policy but the proactive EMPATHY & COMPASSION shown by SSS Team & KMD to be matched by RakshaTPA as well....Such values r hard to come by in today's world & hard times toooo
Dear Commander Sudhir Dua
My wife and I are policy holders of the group medical insurance initiative launched by your team of veterans. Thank you very much for the very timely formation of the Society to benefit large number of veterans who have joined the group.
I am a member of the ECHS. To take on an additional medical cover, was not an easy decision to make as it involved paying annual premiums. But I am glad i did because the major benefit that i have gained is to rid myself of the regular and extreme stress that the process and procedures of referrals t involved in getting timely treatment through ECHS. On many days, i would sit and worry about how I would deal with an admission to a good hospital .should something
